Dermaplaning in Norwich
Dermaplaning is a safe and highly effective exfoliation treatment for the face, suitable for most skin types. A sterile surgical scalpel gently scrapes away all the dead skin cells and fine facial hair, often referred to as “peach fuzz”, which can block pores and make the skin look dull and flaky.
The result is a smoother, brighter complexion. Your skin is left feeling incredibly soft and smooth, and looking more dewy. It also allows other products and treatments to be absorbed better by the skin. It can be used to prime the skin for further treatments such as chemical peels.
About our dermaplaning treatment
This includes a consultation with Annie in our clinic just outside Norwich. We will discuss what you are concerned about and the results you are looking for. We will take your medical history and ask you to sign a patient consent form.
Whilst this treatment is suitable for most skin types, it is best avoided by those with active acne, skin infection or those with thick, dark facial hair.
The process is painless. It takes less than 30 minutes.
The surface of the skin will be thoroughly cleaned. Dead skin called, dry flaky skin and fine hair is then lightly scraped away with a specially designed dermaplaning blade. Once complete a collagen face mask will be applied.
There is no down-time following treatment. Your skin may be slightly red and feel a little dry immediately after treatment, but this will soon settle down. You should wear a high SPF sun screen on your face for at least one week and avoid sun exposure.
Results can be seen immediately after treatment. Results typically last three weeks, although this can be extended slightly with a good skincare regime. The treatment can be repeated every three weeks to maintain the results.
You can combine dermaplaning with our chemical peels for longer-lasting results.
